Florida Hospital College of Health Sciences

Florida Hospital College of Health Sciences, located near downtown Orlando, specializes in allied health and nursing education. The College is a part of Florida Hospital, a 1,478 bed medical center and the largest of more than 350 health care facilities worldwide operated by the Seventh-day Adventist Church. The hospital is internationally recognized for its programs in heart and orthopedic surgery, organ transplantation, and limb re-plantation.

The College is built on a solid foundation of over 80 years of educational experience, deeply-rooted traditions, and a strong commitment to quality and excellence. Originally, the Florida Hospital School of Nursing operated on this site from 1913 until 1958, when Southern Missionary College began sending nursing students from Tennessee to Orlando for clinical experience. Florida Hospital founded a School of Practical Nursing on the campus in 1964. Then, in 1992, the nursing and allied health programs merged to form the Florida Hospital College of Health Sciences.
